Sharing News, Updates, and Stories from CiminoCare

We feel it is essential to share current events; innovations in care; and personal stories of those who make CiminoCare such a special company, including management, staff, residents, and families. We hope you’ll find the following articles to not only be educational, but also a indication of what we feel is important, inspiring, and entertaining. We truly enjoy caring for Seniors and like to share what we do to make a positive difference in the lives of those around us.

Orangeburg Manor Joins CiminoCare

We’re excited to welcome Orangeburg Manor into the CiminoCare family! For over 30 years, Orangeburg Manor, an assisted living and memory care community in Modesto, was under the dedicated management of the same owner. To ensure the same level of genuine and compassionate care, we are partnering with the new owners, Senior Living West Investment Group, to manage the community.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to manage this wonderful community. For over 30 years it has been a beacon of resident-focused, loving care in the Modesto area. We are proud to be chosen to lead the community into the future with all that CiminoCare has to offer,” said MaryAnn Shinn, co-owner of CiminoCare.

Wilma and John Cimino founded CiminoCare in 1988, it remains privately and family-owned, meaning our team can focus on providing expert care to residents, not producing profits for shareholders. Wilma remains active in the company, helping to preserve the nurturing philosophy that characterized CiminoCare’s first community in Burlingame, California. We have grown under the skilled and dedicated management of her children, Mark Cimino and MaryAnn Cimino Shinn, who grew up helping Wilma and John care for residents who, to them, became family. Those formative years of bonding with residents continues to shape how they manage the CiminoCare communities: essentially, care for all like they were family.

CiminoCare’s objectives as the new managers of Orangeburg Manor are to preserve all that is special and valued by the current residents, while introducing building upgrades and the practices and programs that have enriched the lives of so many at other CiminoCare communities. Mark and MaryAnn sincerely believe that placing “people above profits” is not only a noble concept, but a strong and viable business model. “We inspire all team members to ensure a focus on the comfort and well-being of all our residents,” states Mark Cimino, CEO of CiminoCare.

Orangeburg Manor is a top-rated assisted living and memory care community specializing in caring for residents with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and related cognitive disorders. Its dedicated staff will continue to provide outstanding care, with a focus on comfort, emotional well-being and enjoying each day. The community is designed so that residents recognize the comforts of home with the advantage of having trained staff available to meet changing needs. A perfect fit with the CiminoCare family.
