Honoring Alzheimer’s Awareness and Family Caregivers Month

Compassion, Connection, and Care
at the Heart of What We Do

November is both National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month and National Family Caregivers Month — a time to recognize the millions of individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, and to honor the caregivers whose compassion and dedication make an extraordinary difference every day.

At CiminoCare, our mission goes far beyond providing quality assisted living. We are deeply committed to increasing access to high-quality, affordable independent, assisted living and memory care, grounded in the principles of person-centered care and respect for every individual’s dignity and story. We believe that awareness is the first step toward change — and that by breaking down the stigma surrounding dementia, we open doors to greater understanding, compassion, and inclusion. We start with “Share Purpose” the foundation of everything we do

Raising Awareness and Reducing Stigma

Alzheimer’s and other memory-related conditions touch countless lives, yet stigma and misunderstanding still prevent too many from seeking help or finding community. At CiminoCare, we strive to change that through education, advocacy, and compassionate care. Our memory care programs focus on honoring each resident’s individuality, recognizing their abilities, and nurturing meaningful moments of connection — no matter where they are on their journey.

We also advocate for greater awareness and research, supporting conversations that bring families, care professionals, and communities together to better understand the realities of living with dementia.

Celebrating the Heart of Caregiving

Behind every person living with Alzheimer’s is often a devoted caregiver — a spouse, child, sibling, friend, or professional who provides tireless support and unconditional love. This month, we pause to honor and thank those caregivers for all they do.

At CiminoCare, we understand that caregiving is both a calling and a challenge. We continually look for ways to support families, giving them more time to spend with their loved ones — sharing joy, not just managing the tasks of the day. Whether through respite programs, educational resources, or emotional support, our goal is to lighten the load while strengthening the bonds that matter most.

As Mark Cimino, CEO of CiminoCare, shares: “Caregiving is the most noble profession — being compassionate, giving of yourself, and doing it out of respect and love.” Together, We Make a Difference Alzheimer’s Awareness Month and Family Caregivers Month remind us that caring for others is at the heart of what it means to be human. At CiminoCare, we are proud to stand alongside families, caregivers, and professionals in this shared mission — to honor lives, foster dignity, and bring hope through understanding and compassion.
