Sharing News, Updates, and Stories from CiminoCare

We feel it is essential to share current events; innovations in care; and personal stories of those who make CiminoCare such a special company, including management, staff, residents, and families. We hope you’ll find the following articles to not only be educational, but also a indication of what we feel is important, inspiring, and entertaining. We truly enjoy caring for Seniors and like to share what we do to make a positive difference in the lives of those around us.

Citrus Heights Terrace, Exceptional Senior Care in a Small Town Location

As a family-owned business, we manage and encourage each CiminoCare community to be the best it can be, specialized to the area and people it serves. Our community, Citrus Heights Terrace, is no exception. It is a Memory Care community specializing in caring for those with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia, from mild cognitive impairment to advanced memory loss. Located in Citrus Heights, California, this unique community cares for up to 45 residents in a quaint, private setting that offers peaceful surroundings that are reminiscent of the surrounding small-town neighborhoods and open space.

Citrus Heights Terrace is dedicated to providing programs and activities that focus on inspiring and engaging our residents; we call it Life Enrichment. Our buildings and outdoor spaces support the core values of CiminoCare, which embody compassionate care and person-centered programs. Enhancing the life of seniors with memory impairment is to specifically enhance the dignity and well-being of each resident. Our community is inviting, home-like, and safe.

Dining with others, creative arts, music and movement, exercise, and coordination are a core part of resident life. Favorite activities include the petting zoo, working on sensory boxes, and time with Tandy playing a variety of musical instruments. Residents and their family members can enjoy an outside courtyard area, where residents can walk outside the building in the backyard, enjoying sitting amidst grass, flowers, and birds. However, it is the relationships among team members, residents, and family members that really make Citrus Heights Terrace feel warm and inviting. We know that residents living with memory loss need to be engaged and have purposeful programs and activities. It is these little interactions that make all the difference.

Tina Prewitt has been our Executive Director in the community for almost two years. She began her career in healthcare and found that caregiving was where her heart is. She began working in senior communities over ten years ago and hasn’t looked back.

“I love spending my day with seniors both when working at the community, and outside of work, they are part of my family, and I become attached to all of them,” adds Tina.

Our residents enjoy all that life has to offer at Citrus Heights Terrace. From personal assistance provided by our highly-trained caregivers, to a robust schedule of life enrichment activities that promote enjoyable experiences through socialization and engagement. Nutritional meals are enjoyed together, and the beautifully landscaped private grounds and courtyard offer opportunities to socialize and relax outside. Private and shared furnished rooms are supported by secured perimeters, wander detection, and 24-hour staffing to ensure the overall well-being of all of our residents.
