This year’s theme, “Powered by Connection,”<\/em> reminds us that staying engaged, valued, and loved isn’t just good for the spirit \u2014 it’s essential for health and well-being at every stage of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Older Americans Month was established in 1963, when President John F. Kennedy designated May as a time to honor the contributions of older citizens. More than six decades later, that spirit of recognition is more important than ever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The older adults in our care have lived through extraordinary times. They’ve raised families, built careers, weathered hardship, and carried wisdom that no textbook can teach.
