Our Family History
Wilma Cimino has always had a natural affinity for care giving. Her Italian heritage instilled values that focused on the overarching importance of family, serving others cheerfully and giving back to one's community. After decades of caring for seniors in their family and neighborhood, Wilma and John Cimino opened a board and care home in Burlingame in 1988 with the support of their family. Because of Wilma's growing reputation as a compassionate caregiver, the first care home consistently maintained a waiting list and plans were made to expand service to more seniors.
Following the construction of two Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFE) in Burlingame, the Cimino family expanded to Sacramento. First, they acquired Courtyard Terrace and then built Citrus Heights Terrace. Today, CiminoCare operates several RCFE's throughout Northern California and is expanding to add more affordable senior services to care for the aging population.
